What is Transformational Breathwork?
Transformational Breathwork is a journey of conscious connected breathing along with a guided coaching element. Through this practice, individuals gain access to their subconscious mind, facilitating the release of trapped emotions and trauma from the body. Simultaneously, the process supports brain rewiring, enabling individuals to perceive their lives through a new lens. This shift empowers individuals to tell themselves new, empowering stories, fostering personal transformation.
Some things to keep in mind for the session:
Find a comfortable space in your home or wherever you can lie down and relax for about 90 mins to 2 hours. We will be doing this session over zoom and I will be guiding you through this experience.
I will be connecting with you during this session virtually and energetically.
Keep in mind that there are different types of reactions that might occur during or after the session, and any of these reactions are normal. You might experience all of them or none.
But your body will receive whatever is needed at that time, so let go of any expectations.
Reactions that may occur:
- Emotional responses
- Feeling hot or cold
- Seeing colors or lights
- Sensations like tingling or numbing
- Stomach rumbling
- Falling asleep
Even if you do not experience anything, please do not worry as your breath would have activated your inner healer and healing can sometimes work on a subtle energy level but has profound effects over time, and can normally become apparent in the following days or even weeks.
For the session, keep the following things handy:
- A yoga mat or a bed to comfortably lie down.
- Headphones (best experienced with headphones in a private space).
- Eye mask.
- Tissues handy (for any emotional responses).
- A blanket (just in case you feel cold).
- A glass of water to drink once the session is complete.
- A notepad and a pen handy if you feel like journaling.

Transformation Highlights
The experience itself was both gentle and powerful beyond what I could've imagined. Menaka is such a warm human, truly present and compassionate, yet her guidance, suggestions, and pacing are masterful. She gave herself fully - which, in turn, allowed me to enter the experience fully (I have sort of a sixth sense when it comes to whether the other person is really with me or just posing - well, Menaka is there, in the experience, with you, fully and gracefully). This was my first time doing transformative breathwork, and also the first time I did any guided somatic work related to the 5th line trauma so I really didn't know what to expect. Well, the best way I can describe it now is, it's (or can be) pretty darn close to an orgasmic experience. My whole body felt like a trillion of cells were lit up, electrified, I was even sure that, had I been in the dark, one could see it glowing, and then, when the release happened, I was just overwhelmed with joy. My body showed me at the same time how much it's been neglected by me and how much joy it can feel. I can't pinpoint exactly what happened to my bodily traumas but, judging by the feelings during, after, and the next day, whatever happened was big. And Menaka was there with me the whole time. To say the least, it was comforting to have her with me in such an intimate moment. I felt safe, seen, supported, and like I was given a gift I never knew I needed. Thank you ❤️

It is mostly safe to do Breathwork.
However, it is important to note that the Transformative Breathwork techniques that I employ in these Journeys may not be safe for those with the following conditions (consult your Physician if you have any doubts):
- Major heart or cardiovascular problems
- Epilepsy
- Pregnancy
- High heart rate or blood pressure
- Seizure disorders
- Recent surgeries
- Aneurisms
- Severe mental health conditions
- If you are on any heavy-duty medications

I’ve been struggling with grief for many years after my mom passed away. No therapy has really worked for me so when Menaka offered me a breathwork Journey focusing on Grief I wanted to try. It didn’t take long before my tears started flowing listening to her soothing voice and well-formulated words of wisdom. Breathing deeply with her guidance brought up all my emotions of sadness and anger, but I also suddenly remembered all the beautiful moments with my mom from my childhood.
